Remembering Connection to Earth: Grounding During Hectic Holidays

Dec 03, 2014 12:36AM ● By Slyms Bazile

“The moment your foot touches the Earth, or you connect to the Earth through a wire, your physiology changes. An immediate normalization begins.
And an anti-inflammatory switch is turned on. People stay inflamed because they never connect with the Earth, the source of free electrons which can neutralize
the free radicals in the body that cause disease and cellular destruction. Earthing is the easiest and most profound lifestyle change anyone can make.”

~Biophysicist James Oschman, Ph.D., author of Energy Medicine: The Scientific Basis

As the holiday season approaches, there is no better time to take care to stay grounded. It is all too easy to get caught up in the holiday jumble and lose our sense of peace and well-being. Grounding will ensure us all the peace of mind, the clarity of discernment, and the physical health we need to thrive this holiday season.

Grounding or earthing is being found to be an essential part of maintaining our health. Earth’s negative charge emits free electrons that are extremely beneficial to our well-being. Our immune system thrives on an ample supply of electrons. We all have access to these free electrons by having direct contact with Earth. Walking barefoot, sitting and lying on the Earth are all simple ways to detoxify, reenergize and heal.

Humanity is awakening. As we rise from our slumber, we remember how to heal ourselves and we remember what our ancestors knew, what is hidden inside our hearts. The Earth is our mother, and connecting with her restores balance and heals us. Our planet’s healing powers can benefit all life it contains, whether it be humans, animals or plants.

Studies have shown that Earth’s subtle electrical fields can directly affect our health in a positive way. It calms the nervous system and synchronizes both hemispheres of our brains, bringing harmony to our physical bodies, mind and soul. Earthing revitalizes the mind and our emotions. Grounding one’s self has proven to reduce stress and restore emotional balance and mental clarity.

In 2008, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration announced that the Earth is linked to the Sun by a network of magnetic portals. Ancient monuments were built directly on energy spots in the Earth. These findings confirm that there is definitely something to this earthling/grounding concept.

Extensive scientific research has been done on earthing. One study evaluated 28 parents of autistic children and discovered drastic improvements in behavioral and communication skills after grounding the children for two months. Miraculous results have been documented on individuals dealing with chronic inflammation and terminal illness.

When in contact with the Earth, electrons are conducted to our bodies that optimize our health. It may not be feasible to most to walk outside barefoot or lay on the bare earth in the middle of winter. Every problem has a solution. Earthing is quickly becoming a worldwide trend. Many gadgets have been created to take advantage of the Earth’s electrons without having to go barefoot in the cold. There are conductive gadgets that have been created at the onset of this remembrance. Conductive bed sheets, grounding pads, grounding shoes and many more are available online.

“It was good for the skin to touch the bare Earth, and old people liked to remove their moccasins and walk with their bare feet on the sacred Earth.
They sat on the ground with the feeling of being close to a mothering power.... the soil was soothing, strengthening, cleansing and healing.”
