The Graduate Institute Names Michael Pergola as President

Michael Pergola

Michael Pergola has been named as the new president of The Graduate Institute (TGI) and will succeed A. Harris “Bud” Stone, EdD, who will remain as chancellor. Stone, a life-long innovator of educational programs, founded TGI in 1999 and felt the time was right for the next generation of leaders to provide new energy to take The Graduate Institute to its next level of development.

“The Graduate Institute will continue in its commitment to provide adult learners with not just rigorous academics, but opportunities to change both themselves and the world,” said Pergola. “The institute was founded with the belief that education can inspire people to find creative solutions to pressing challenges. Our team is excited to help continue that mission, as well as make the school’s commitment to education, community, and creative inquiry even stronger.”

The Graduate Institute’s mission is to provide adults the opportunity to earn master’s degrees and graduate certificates in contemporary and emerging fields of study such as integrative health and healing, learning and thinking, consciousness studies, organizational leadership, writing and oral tradition, eco-therapy and cultural sustainability, and several coach training programs.
