Opening Bell Sounding for ViBe Café in Newtown

SOUND (A Center for Arts & Mindfulness) is expanding in the historic Hawleyville Chapel in Newtown. This fall, ViBe Café will be opened on the main floor of the center. Dubbed a conscious cafe and bookstore, it will be a place where folks can come enjoy community with others looking to connect, share and grow while surrounded by delicious local food and drinks.

The café will be a local coffee house and tea bar offering grab-and-go healthy farm-to-table food that changes with each season. The signature ViBé blend coffee from Redding Roasters and an extensive tea selection ranging from the basic Earl Grey and chai rooibos to anahata (heart chakra tea) to fair-traded decadent hot cocoa and local kombucha are sure to inspire any artist, seeker or healer. The main food items are healthy salads, baked goods and snacks created by local Newtown chef Pam Buchler of Aquarian Caterers. The bookstore will house a wide selection of new and used books.

ViBe Café is a collaborative effort between new age recording artist and founder/director of SOUND, Jennifer Aurelia, and Dr. Sarah Baroody, a Danbury ophthalmologist and book lover. ViBé Cafe is planned to open for business this fall alongside the new schedule of classes, workshops and events at SOUND.

SOUND (A Center for Arts and Mindfulness), a center for creative expression and conscious education, was opened on December 15, 2012 by Aurelia (previously known as Jennifer Zulli) with a focus on healing arts, intuitive development, sound and expressive arts.
