Send Off Summer with a Last Taste of Craft Beer

Located at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park with picturesque views of Greenwich Harbor, the Last Taste of Summer Craft Beer Festival on September 30 will feature brews and pours from more than 30 of Connecticut’s craft breweries, local food trucks, live music, lawn games and activities. VIP ticket holders will enjoy a variety of sours and hard-to-find brews.

The event will also raise awareness and funds to support Live Green CT!’s Zero Waste School Fellowship. That is an effort to crowdsource innovative ideas and implement programs and practices that will provide environmental education, encourage food rescue and food scrap composting, increase recycling rates, minimize trash and reduce material costs in schools. Community involvement includes Curbside Compost, Greenwich Clean and Green Val’s Putnam Wines and Liquors.

The main event runs from 1 to 4:30pm. General admission includes tastings of pours throughout the general festival grounds, a souvenir tasting glass, a variety of food choices from food trucks, games and activities, a variety of exhibits and displays, live music, and free parking in designated lots on a “first come, first served” basis.

In addition to early access at noon in the VIP area, VIP ticket holders get complimentary parking in the Island Beach lot from noon to 1pm; live, acoustic music; samples of pours throughout the festival beer gardens; games and activities; and exclusive tasting opportunities of pours and samples not available in the general tasting area.

Buy tickets before August 31 and take advantage of early-bird pricing, which is $65 for VIP and $35 for general admission. After August 31, prices are $75 and $40, respectively. Designated drivers are $25 and those 20 years old and under are $15. Processing fees apply. Gate prices will be higher. Over 21 attendees can bring blankets and chairs to the rain-or-shine event but no coolers, food, alcohol, ice, glass or beverages. Proceeds of the craft beer festival will go towards Live Green CT!’s Zero Food Waste Fellowship.
