Happy Birthday: IONS Celebrates 35 Years of Monitoring Consciousness

Members of the Institute of Noetic Sciences persevere on the frontier of witnessing the revolution in human understanding about the nature of consciousness and human capacities. They seek to discern the basis of prevailing worldviews, build bridges between science and spirit, and practice freedom of thought that heals the world.

Founded by Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell in 1973, the collective quest continues to break ground through its research on: the remission of disease; the influence of attitudes, beliefs, intuition and intention on health; the effects of meditation; and the relationship between mind and matter. The work of these globally conscious citizens weaves into a coherent and compelling vision of human potential.
