Dinners at the Farm Announces 2015 Schedule

Dinners at the Farm has announced the schedule for their 2015 season. From July 22 – 26, dinners will be held at Barberry Hill Farm in Madison, and from August 5-9, dinners will be held at White Gate Farm in East Lyme.

Dinners at the Farm is a series of benefit dinners celebrating Connecticut’s local farms, food and community as a way to generate awareness of the importance and vitality of the local farming community. The intent is to recreate a sense of connection to farming, cooking and eating as participants dine right in the fields of the farm. Now in its ninth season, the dinners offer a memorable dining experience where guests savor course after course of just-from-the-earth food cooked fresh that day. Participants break bread and raise a glass with the farmers, fisherman, and others who make up Connecticut’s vibrant agricultural community.

A portion of every dinner goes to the non profit community benefiting organizations such as Connecticut Farmland Trust, Slow Food Connecticut,
CitySeed, Shoreline Soup Kitchen and Pantries and Working Lands Alliance.
