Going Greenway in New Milford

New Milford Greenway, Sega Meadows Park, New Milford

Going green took on a new meaning for northeast Connecticut when the New Milford River Trail Greenway became one of the state’s designated greenways. The 13-mile long trail follows both the Housatonic and Still Rivers in Connecticut.

Although only in the preliminary engineering study stages, the goal is to extend the existing New Milford River Trail from Sega Meadows Park to the Brookfield town line in order to connect the Housatonic Riverbelt Greenway and the Still River Greenway.
