Peter Pratt Nature School, an outdoor, nature-based preschool experience for children ages 3 to 5, is opening in September for the 2019-2020 school year. The historic, 205-acre outdoor classroom is located at Pratt Nature Center in New Milford and includes woodlands, farmland, meadows, ponds, the East Aspetuck River and a newly renovated yurt classroom for inclement weather.

A fully licensed, mixed-age preschool, Peter Pratt Nature School draws upon the diversity of the natural world to foster curiosity, creativity, problem solving, collaboration, resilience and empathy to lay the foundation for the development of the cognitive, emotional, social and physical skills needed for success in a challenging and ever-changing world.
