Natural Awakenings Fairfield & Southern Litchfield Counties

PEMF for Healthier Cells

We have more than 75-100 trillion cells in our bodies and every cell is a small, electrical battery that is constantly conducting an electric current. Cells use this energy current to take in essential nutrients, metabolize and excrete waste, and communicate with each other. How well our “batteries” are charged at the cellular level determines how much work our whole body can accomplish. How efficiently our cells perform its natural function, will determine how productively it can impact our body’s overall ability to repair and heal itself. When our cells do not have enough energy, our body cannot fully repair and restore itself. Consequently, we become susceptible to persistent fatigue, injury, chronic pain and disease.

Pulsed Magnetic Field Therapy (PEMF) is a non-contact, non-invasive, non-pharmacological reparative and restorative technology used to stimulate cellular charge, resulting in cellular repair. A PEMF therapy device uses a computer/control unit to administer precise natural pulsating magnetic fields to the body (with specific frequencies and intensities) through various applicators, such as a full body mat, localized pad applicators and pinpointed probes.

In the U.S., PEMF technology is currently approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for several applications, including bone fusion and bone density enhancement treatments for those recovering from compound fractures and those who experience bone degeneration associated with old age. The technology allows the broadcasting and delivering of electromagnetic fields that charge cells into a state of homeostatic resonance, thereby strengthening the energy field of each cell. It does so by recharging cells, increasing oxygenation, enhancing circulation, improving hydration, facilitating detoxification, and gaining a better overall absorption of nutrients.

PEMF has been used successfully for conditions such as arthritis, neck and back pain, sciatica, sport injuries, post-operative healing, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, Lyme disease and many others.

It is important to note that those with pacemakers and those who are pregnant or at risk for epileptic seizures should not use PEMF therapy.

PEMF is offered in Fairfield County at Kure Spa in Norwalk, Whole-Body Medicine in Fairfield and Resonating Wellness in Westport. See ads, pages 2 and 3.
