Muscle Health = Brain Health
Most of us think of muscle as a thing that exists separately from intellect. The truth is, our brains and muscles are in constant conversation with each other, sending electrochemical signals back and forth.
Physical activity can help you think, learn, problem-solve, and enjoy an emotional balance. It can improve memory and reduce anxiety or depression.
Regular physical activity can also improve signs of brain health, and short bursts of physical activity can boost brain functions such as memory and thinking skills. What’s more, regular physical activity can reduce your risk of cognitive decline and dementia.
Debra Duby joins us to explain the critical connection between muscle and brain health.
