Preserving Connecticut Vitality through Music
On September 23, from 3:30pm to sunset, at Middlebury’s Tranquility Farm, Jazz at the Lake will celebrate Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition’s (PRWC) ongoing environmental stewardship and coalition-based leadership. The event will also raise funds needed to support its internship and youth conservation corps programs, educational programs, the development of and advocacy for sustainable water and land use policies, watershed monitoring and restoration initiatives, and other important work.
The Berkshire Jazz Orchestra, a 17-piece ensemble, will play at Jazz at the Lake. Fine food and wine, silent and live auctions, and special guests will also be on hand at the event. With a promise to knock your socks off with music by greats such as Stan Kenton, Buddy Rich, Glen Miller and Tommy Dorsey, the music also includes silky renditions of familiar favorites. Tickets are $75 per person.
