When choosing to shop at Mondazzi's you will be mystified by all the crystals and spiritual tools they have to offer but be aware that it is a mask to something darker and ugly. It is an illusion to make you spend your money, take it from a recent employee who worked there the last 14 months. The "friendly" staff is not what they make you believe. As you're shopping they are judging and mocking you for "buying so much stuff" and for how you look. I am appauld by the behaviors I've witnessed and encountered and decided I could no longer tolerate it so I had to leave. I came to a place that I thought was safe, welcoming and had a similar goal in mind, to be apart of the community and spread spiritual knowledge and healing with kindness, compassion and understanding. Instead I have seen hateful arguments between management/family and staff, judgement, complaining and shit talking amongst each other about each other as well as talking badly of the customers, HIPPA violations, poor communication from the owners/management, the owners openly complaining about staff to other staff members, owners not believing in the "mediums" they allow to read in their space, and much more. Their jeweler joe is a scam artist and you should save your money, I know from experience. He claims to be spiritual and a versed healer when in reality he's a manipulator controlled by his ego. He says all the right things but please open your eyes and see that he does not practice what he preaches. He is a perverted man that works with black magick to get what he wants out of others. All the older men that work in this establishment are inappropriate and watch/oogle over the women who shop. Not to mention Ed only prefers to hire nice looking women for the front of the store and keeps the men in the back warehouse. Sexual harassment, sexism and discrimination can be added to the list of what I've witnessed here. I learned a lot about myself being there and what I will never be. I lead with love and was too good to these people. I myself was taken advantage of, disrespected, ignored and when I decided to speak up about my concerns, the manager relayed the message that "Sonja would really like to talk to you about this so she said YOU can reach out to her if you'd like. I'm not sure what to do at this point." I've been in retail management for 13+ years and I'm disappointed and disgusted. I shouldn't have to make a complaint like this to begin with and they choose not to acknowledge and want to take no accountability for what they've created. They don't understand why they don't get respect from their staff? Well as managers/owners YOU set the example. You get what you give. They have created this toxic environment that hides behind the beauty that spirituality really is.They talk badly and complain of the staff instead of confronting any issues privately, they watch and listen to you on cameras consistently, they don't communicate/delegate ANYTHING and don't hold anyone accountable; zero policies in place so everyone does whatever they want."When there is no consequences for poor work ethic, and no reward for good work ethic, there is no motivation." I pride myself on my hard work ethic and devotion to the work I choose to do and this place was the biggest slap in the face. Sonja and Ed have been overtaken by greed. How much money can they make? They smash large beautiful crystals to make into smaller pieces to sell more and those "new" books you're paying for? They're not new, they cut the remainder marks off of them for more profit. They have also been made aware that their warehouse has black mold and they're not up to OSHA regulations but they refuse to make it safe for their employees and customers. Ed and Sonja don't believe in spirituality, it's just another product to sell that stuck this time. They take advantage of people in need of help and are scamming us all. They are fake and very unhappy with themselves and for the sake of all the customers that shop in this establishment, please be mindful and aware that not all is as it seems.
