Why is sound universally used as a gateway to meditation and religious ceremony? What do a shell, pine cone or acorn have to teach us about our place in the universe?

The Healing Power of Sound is an interactive workshop where we explore sound and the connections between ancient wisdom and modern science. We will demonstrate that human beings are designed on the same principles as the design of a sunflower or a galaxy.

Healing sounds are based on these same concepts. Participants will learn how to use sound for self-care and care of others. We will end with a sound meditation followed by a group reflection.

Chris and Sara started working together after Chris’ diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Sara used sound throughout Chris’ chemotherapy treatments and operation to aid his healing process. Chris is certain that Sara’s sound treatments were essential in his becoming cancer free. They have since worked together as a pair, and with others, to help cancer patients, Alzheimer’s patients, their caregivers and anyone who wants more tranquility in the face of day to day stress.
