VIRTUAL: Introduction to LYT Yoga

We are so happy to introduce you to the LYT Yoga Method! LYT, Lara Yoga Technique, is the perfect marriage between Yoga and Physical Therapy. It was created by Lara Heimann, a Yoga Teacher and Physical Therapist with advanced degrees in Neuro-Developmental Physical Therapy. LYT redefines Yoga in several ways – a huge emphasis on posture and core work, functional movement patterns and neuro-mapping (re-wiring your brain the best of ways!).
The structure of LYT Yoga classes varies from traditional Yoga in that we begin with The Reset, in which we wake up our postural muscles. We then progress from sequence to sequence. Each sequence involves fluid movements from pose to pose, increasing in intensity and complexity. Then we stream these sequences together allowing our bodies and minds to integrate these movement patterns. The results – a stronger and better aligned body with a more intelligent nervous system!
What you will learn:
1 - The “Triple S” of postural alignment – skull, scapula, sacrum
2 – Safe transitions from one plane of movement to another
3 – Integrating the strength of the core throughout your Yoga practice
4 – How to develop the strength and alignment to safely bear weight on your hands
5 – How enjoyable it is to practice Yoga in an unpredictable, fluid and fun way!
6 – How to carry what you learn in LYT classes to other Yoga classes, sports, activities… LIFE!
