Winter Solstice Ceremony & Celebration
Bear Walker, Anishinaabe medicine man leads Winter Solstice program followed by community celebration
First Nation Anishinaabe medicine man, Bear Walker, returns to Balancing 4 Life in Armonk to lead a Winter Solstice ceremony for the community on Dec. 21st beginning at 1 pm. While we honor the return of the light, we also take stock of what thoughts, behaviors and actions we wish to leave behind in 2025. We will identify those "bad" seeds that we wish to have burned by our fire keeper, Anca Chelaru, and consciously select 4 "seeds" of intention to carry into 2026 for the Spring Equinox. This is the indigenous tradition. You are welcome to bring a frame drum or rattle/shaker to participate in the opening calling in of the directions.
Humanity is making a powerful transformational leap with the 2025 Winter Solstice. It is a time of rebirth and heart opening as we move into 2026. Indeed, we are creating new foundations built on integrity and compassion as a new paradigm of collaboration and humanitarianism. Old systems will be redesigned to serve rather than control. Guests are asked to bring a food offering to share at our celebration following the ceremony.
