Connecticut Ballet’s annual BALLET UNDER THE STARS free performance tour finishes at Stamford Downtown Dances on Wednesday, July 26th in Mill River Park (at the Alive at Five Stage on Washington Boulevard, Stamford), with a 7:00pm performance at the vibrant park and special event venue. The performance will open at 7:00 pm with performances by Kalynon'ka Ukrainian and Slowianie Polish folk dance ensembles. Narrated by Artistic Director Brett Raphael, the performance will feature the professional company in a series of romantic duets and culminate in a performance of the popular, Fosse Medley, featuring standards by jazz choreographer/movie director Bob Fosse. According to Raphael, ‘This program has something for everyone and is a great way to introduce young people to the magic of live performance. The range of work spans both contemporary and classical ballet and music as diverse Paul Winter, Bruce Springsteen, and Argentine Tango.” Attendees may bring a picnic and lawn chairs.
