Death & Chocolate | Workshop
In this space Kaitlyn weaves the understanding of how death interrelates to life.
Death is a topic that is commonly avoided in modern society and yet this vital step in the process of life is something we all have in common. Each one of us is intimately interwoven with the presence of Death, whether it be experiencing the loss of loved ones, acknowledging beliefs, patterns and relationships that are falling away, and our own inevitable end.
Join us at the Sanctuary in Hopewell Junction, NY, to share our hearts over chocolate truffles, allow space for grief, and offer homage to Death and all the lessons that come with the process. In this workshop participants will pair up with a few different individuals to enjoy decadent herbal and medicinal mushroom (not psychoactive) infused truffles wrapped in thought-invoking prompts. These questions will open us up to our own beliefs, edges and experiences around Death, creating a container for contemplative heart-opening connection. There will be a writing segment and then we will move into a community grief ritual, holding space for loved ones who have passed, and for those who are gracefully handing over beliefs, relationships and paths to Death, in order to create space for something new to be born.
In this space Kaitlyn weaves the understanding of how death interrelates to life, knowledge of the supportive qualities of plants and herbs through transitions, and the wisdom of how all living things interconnect through life and beyond.
