Experience the sanctuary as day gently gives way to night during our Golden Hour Hike, a peaceful May evening walk timed with the soft glow of sunset and early twilight.
As the light fades, the landscape comes alive in subtle ways. We’ll slow our pace and tune our senses, listening for birds as they sing their final songs of the day, noticing the opening chorus of frogs and practicing birding by ear in the dimming light. Along the way, we’ll keep watch for moths, mammals, and other nocturnal creatures beginning to stir.
This guided hike invites curiosity and is the perfect opportunity to embrace stillness, sharpen your awareness, and discover the often-overlooked wonders that emerge during this quiet, in-between time of day. Our hike will take us through each of our habitats, with flat wide trails in the meadow, and more narrow, hilly, and wet trails near the Deep Brook.
