Lyme Connection is an all-volunteer, community-based task force providing support and resources to patients and their families coping with tick-borne disease. We represent patients, family members, practitioners, researchers and community members committed to ending the suffering caused by tick-borne diseases. We offer educational programs about prevention and early diagnosis and provide support to patients. Our goal is to connect patients with compassionate care, and provide the encouragement and validation needed to make it through what is often a daunting challenge.
What changes do you plan in 2021?
We are excited to announce Lyme Connection has received another round of funding from the Community Foundation of Greater New Haven, which will provide grants through the Elizabeth White Fund. These grants provide financial support for treatment of tick-borne diseases through ILADS physicians to qualifying CT residents. Patients should visit LymeConnection.org for more information or to apply.
We also continue to distribute our Tick Prevention Packets through the Ridgefield Health Department and Ridgefield Town Hall free of charge. The Tick Prevention Packet includes a fine point tweezer with magnifying glass, proper tick removal info-card, tick ID card and a BLAST prevention magnet. We are looking forward to hosting our annual patient conference once again in the spring of 2022.
