Natural Awakenings Fairfield Cty/Housatonic Valley, CT

Yoga by Donation for the Unemployed

In the spirit of true Yogic service, HarmonyYoga Studio in Stamford is offering four stress-easing sessions in November combining mindful yoga, meditation, breathing and education taught by Carol Shwidock and Ann Russell, “Join us for an oasis of calm amidst the economic calamity,” says the invitation. The cost? The Studio says it’s “what you’re able to offer—a flower for the altar, a canned good for a local charity, a monetary donation to ProMindful [a non-profit promoting health and wellness], let your
heart be your guide.”

The sessions will be held at Harmony Yoga, 48 Union Street, Stamford. Learn more at HarmonYogaStudio.com or 203.962.4672. Times are Wednesdays, November 4 and 11 at 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and Sundays, November 8 and 15, at 4 to 6 p.m.
