This month, we’re celebrating the summer with a focus on Family Wellness and Lyme Disease.

Now that June is here, this summer is starting to look a lot different than last year. While we are more eager than usual to get out, travel and explore, check out some tips for traveling sustainably—both near and far—in “Traveling for the Planet: Sustainable Ways to Explore the World” on page 28.

In the northeast, spending time outdoors also means being safe and mindful of ticks, since we have a higher incidence of Lyme disease in this area than other parts of the U.S. In fact, the illness was named after the town of Lyme, Connecticut. To help our community learn more and find valuable resources, we’ve included several articles full of helpful modalities and advice from people who have struggled with Lyme and those who are successfully helping others through it.

On page 16, meet Freddie Kimmel, whose own life-changing experience with
AmpCoil—PEMF and bioresonance technology with specific applications geared toward Lyme disease—led him to join the AmpCoil team to support others on a similar journey.

Gregg Kirk of Lyme Recovery Clinic, in Darien, highlights five supplements that bind to toxins commonly seen in Lyme patients, which can help detoxify the body (page 18). Thanks to Lyme Connection and LymeDisease.org, we’re also able to share an excerpt from the book Chronic: The Hidden Cause of the Autoimmune Pandemic and How to Get Healthy Again, featuring some common myths and facts about Lyme (page 20).

This issue also includes holistic parenting tips, natural approaches to a healthy
pregnancy and more family wellness fun.

Enjoy, and be well, Erica
