Mind-Body Workshop for Fertility Patients at RMACT Norwalk

On January 12, 2014, from 12-5pm at Reproductive Medicine Associates of Connecticut (RMACT)’s Norwalk location, Melissa Kelleher, LCSW, will host a Mind-Body Workshop to introduce fertility patients to the mind-body connection and techniques that can help reduce stress. Colleagues from RMACT’s Integrated Fertility and Wellness Program will lead an interactive peer support group, Fertile Yoga class and acupuncture demonstration.

Although stress has not been definitively proven to decrease the likelihood of pregnancy, several clinical studies indicate that stress management can have a positive effect. RMACT encourages patients to improve their overall health because this improves a patient’s likelihood of successfully getting pregnant.

Kelleher works with couples and individuals at RMACT, giving them the tools to handle the emotional aspects of their fertility treatment. She has trained under Alice D. Domar, PhD, a pioneer in the application of mind-body medicine to men’s and women’s health issues.

Location: 10 Glover Ave, Norwalk, CT. Cost: $125 per person or $200 per couple. Discounted rate of $115 if registered before December 20. For complete event details, go to
