Waldorf School Renovation Nears Completion

The Housatonic Valley Waldorf School in Newtown is celebrating its 25th year of providing Waldorf Education in Connecticut. To mark this milestone, it seemed appropriate to strengthen the school’s foundation - the early childhood program - both figuratively and literally.

Finishing touches are underway on the complete renovation of the Rose Garden building that houses the mixed-age early childhood program, as well as the Morning Glories parent-child classes. While retaining the same building footprint, the inside was reconfigured to create more useable space and light-filled classrooms. The school can now accommodate more families in its parent-child classes.

The Rose Garden building will be ready for the first Kindermorning of the year on December 9. The program offers an opportunity for parents to take a sample class right alongside their 3-5 year old.
