Monroe’s Salon Aponte, an eco-minded hair salon that also offers other services ranging from body sugaring to Reiki, will hold its Network Night on May 21 from 6 to 8pm.

Networking guests will include Janice Covey, a compound chemist and creator of Kosmotolgy natural skin products for the entire family; Eliana Grubel, an in-home chef; Laurie Brautigam, a dōTERRAa essential oils representative; Barbara Greenhouse, a health coach specializing in diabetes and cancer patients; and Robin Gilmore, aBridgeport-based creator of upcycled jewelry.

Salon Aponte uses organic-based coloring devoid of harmful pigments that are present in traditional hair coloring products. The salon’s conversion to more organic and healthy products began 12 years ago. The salon also carries Juice Plus.
