Twin Star Herbal Education & Community Apothecary, in New Milford, will host several educational online events this month, with many continuing throughout the year.

On January 7, from 6:30 to 8:30pm, Star Circle will take place online. This event happens monthly, with participants gathering together (currently remotely) in sacred space to work with the astrological energy of the New Moon. This group meets on the Thursday closest to the New Moon to explore the astrological sign of the month, its ruling planet and how they relate to our personal natal charts.

On January 8, from 6 to 9pm, The Art and Science of Herbalism course will begin. The course includes 10 lessons from Rosemary Gladstar’s core curriculum, a specially designed binder, correction of all homework and a certificate upon successful completion of the course. Each lesson provides directions and recipes on making herbal preparations, dozens of herbs to research and projects (such as making an herbal first aid kit, designing an herb garden, making a herbarium and more). Classes will be held on one Friday evening of each month through October.

On January 12, from 6 to 8:30pm, The Green Witch: Magical Herbalism and the Way of the Witches will be hosted by Green Witches Lupo Passero and Rebekah Sutter. Each participant will receive a special Grimoire, build an at-home magical herbal apothecary and engage in and learn ritual practices, spells and ceremonies. The course will be held online on January 12, 19 and 26, and February 2, 9 and 16.
