Jill Russo Foster’s book, Cash, Credit and Your Finances: The Teen Years, was reviewed by Radical Parenting’s Teen Team and named one of 50 Best Parenting Books for Families with Teens and Tweens. The author, who resides in Greenwich, wrote the book to help teenagers and their parents understand the basics of personal finances. Currently, one out five college students owes between $3,000 and $7,000 in credit card debt and 68% make purchases knowing they can’t pay the balance. It’s evident that today’s teenagers do not understand how credit problems will affect their ability to find a job or housing, let alone a fair rate on a car or mortgage loan. Cash, Credit and Your Finances: The Teen Years is easy to read and contains worksheets, a glossary, and real world financial examples. Jill’s second book of the series, Cash, Credit and Your Finances: The College Years, will be out later this year.
