Meg Maurer Rolfing Expands to Fairfield

Meg Maurer

Meg Maurer, Certified Rolfer, announces her affiliation with the Maggie French Massage Therapy Studio in Fairfield. Rolfing, or Structural Integration, is a specific form of advanced bodywork that takes place over a series of sessions, designed to lengthen the connective tissue in the body, leading to greater flexibility and alignment. “If you can imagine how it feels to live in a fluid, light balanced body, free of pain, stiffness and chronic stress, at ease with itself and the Earth's gravitational field,” said Rolfing’s originator, Ida Rolf, “then you will understand the goals of Rolfing."

“Rolfing is great for anybody who is in pain - back pain, neck pain, pain from an injury or from stress and tension,” Meg explains. “When people feel pain, compensatory patterns set in, and that affects their life and ability to function on all levels.” When people are free of physical restrictions and aligned, good health can flow. A Licensed Massage Therapist with a background in Fitness and Nutrition, Meg trained at the Rolf Institute in Boulder, Colorado. She also completed further studies in Movement, certifying her as a Rolf Movement Practitioner.

Meg Maurer sees clients at The Maggie French Massage Therapy Studio, 22 Reef Road in Fairfield (over the Firehouse Deli) and at 153 Greenwood Avenue in Bethel. Please call 203.770.6552 for a free consultation or visit MegMaurer.com.
