Happy New Year! I hope your holidays were filled with so much love and joy.
Welcome to 2021. After a year filled with many ups and downs, I think we can all agree that the biggest hope for 2021 is to continue on a path of personal health and wellness, as well as personal growth. Natural Awakenings has started the year with just that. Included in the pages of this issue are articles and information to help you lead your best life in 2021 and beyond. From learning to be more self-sufficient online, to fitness trends, to moving into a new space, we have so much covered.
Our Community Spotlight this month (page 12) features Aliza Freedman, The Computer Fairy, whose services, now more than ever, can help you learn the ins and outs of computer organization, managing working from home, helping kids with online school and any other computer-based issues you have. Her goal is to support and help women be successful online and therefore in life.

In 2021 we are seeing holistic medicine more and more being integrated into everyday treatments. Thirty years ago, hospital patients were treated for symptoms based on the Western medical model, and holistic modalities were excluded, largely due to a lack of reliable scientific studies. More recently, because of promising research, the traditional template is expanding. You can read more on page 14 about how hospitals are using these holistic approaches to treat patients of all ages.

We are excited to share these articles with you and are so fortunate to have so many advertisers that support this free community resource. When you set your personal intentions for the year, think about the offerings you learn about within these pages. Whether it’s visiting a new local shop, taking a class, trying a new treatment or just treating yourself, there are many options for our readers.

Remember there is always more online for your reading pleasure. Visit our website at for recipes, events, articles and so much more. If you can dream it, we can support it.

All the best in 2021 and beyond,
