Happy 2022! What a beautiful time of year—the beginning. It can mean the beginning of new opportunities to take control of your health, wellness and happiness—mind, body and spirit.

A great way to get started off on the right foot is to learn about something new from someone near. Try calling one of our many advertisers and community members in the New Year to learn about what they do. You just might find your new wellness hero, hobby, self-care regimen, favorite food or healthy habit.

Speaking of healthy habits, you may have read the cover headline “Plant-Based Coffee Alternatives” and felt defensive of your morning cup of Joe. Fear not! This interesting article, “A Better Morning Jolt”, is not here to disparage the beverage. In fact, coffee has been proven to be beneficial to our health in many ways. On page 22, learn some ways to tweak your habit to add some other benefits or reduce sugars.

Check out some forecasted trends in health that will continue through 2022 in our feature article, “Health in the New Year”, on page 14. The focus on technology and virtual experiences seems to be here to stay, helping us access resources and practitioners in innovative ways. Another concept that feels appropriate for this new beginning is detox. Read about Ayurveda’s unique
approach to detoxing the body on page 18.

Our annual Directory issue is coming in March. Take advantage of the early bird
specials before January 15. Call for details 203-885-4674 or email me at

Wishing you all the best in this new beginning,

Coming in May
Deadline April 12th. Email: [email protected] today for details and yo reserve your space.
